What Tomball pools deal with.
A good number of Tomball properties sit on well water rather than municipal supply. Well water often carries iron and higher hardness, which shows up as brown or rust staining on plaster and a stubborn tendency toward scale. It's a different chemistry problem than a city-water pool, and it needs a different approach.
The larger lots out here mean more trees and more open ground, so filters and baskets work harder — particularly on properties backing onto pasture or woods along Spring Creek.
Willowcreek Ranch, Lakes of Rosehill, and the acreage neighborhoods often have longer equipment runs from the house to the pad, which is where we tend to find leaking unions and undersized plumbing on older installs.

My pool has rust-colored stains. What causes that?
Usually iron in the fill water, which is common on wells around Tomball. It needs a sequestering agent on a regular schedule, and sometimes a stain treatment to clear what's already there. Ordinary chlorine shock can make iron staining worse, not better.
Do you service pools on well water?
Yes. We test the fill water as well as the pool, because well water changes the whole balancing strategy — hardness and metals both have to be managed.
