Cinco Ranch, Grand Lakes, Seven Meadows, Cross Creek Ranch — much of Katy's pool stock went in during the 2005 to 2015 building wave. That means a large number of pools are now 10 to 20 years old, right in the window where plaster gives out and the first-generation pump finally quits.
Katy also floods. After a heavy storm the chemistry gets diluted and debris load spikes, and pools that sat without circulation can go green in under a week. Getting the balance corrected quickly is the difference between a two-day recovery and a drain and clean.

My pool went green after the last storm. Can it be saved?
Almost always. Most green-to-clean recoveries take a few days of treatment and filtering. Pools that sat for weeks may need a drain and clean instead — we'll tell you which after we look at it.
How do I know if my salt cell is dying?
Chlorine reading drifting down while the system says everything is fine is the usual first sign, along with visible scale on the plates. Cells typically last three to seven years. We test and replace them.
